IfcSpatialZone Project Survey

In buildingSMART International Building Room, we are working on a project about the implementation of the IfcSpatialZone entity. The project target is to create a technical report that includes a list of the potential use cases of IfcSpatialZone and a guideline to encourage Software vendors to implement functions that can facilitate the use of IfcSpatialZones in their BIM author tools.

As a part of this project, we are planning to apply between March and May 2022 a Questionnaire to Software Vendors and Users about the actual Usage of IfcSpatialZone. As a project group, we would really appreciate it if you as BIM Expert, Software Vendor or Super User could support us by participating in the following survey.

During the Summit, there will be some news.
The technical report has been performed last few months and it is on a quite good point.
