IFC for Site, Landscape, and Urban Planning - Call for Participation

Dutch governmental department for maintaining boundaries for ownership (Kadaster) choose CityJSON as format for 3d modelling gis. I suggested to a FME specialist to look at a way to convert it to ifc for use in “bim software”. Now the FME service is able to convert CityJSON to either 3d dxf (semi open) as well as gml. I have no clue for what reasosn CityJSON is the preferred “bim standard”.

Anyone have background about and about possible conversions, its limitations and possibilities? For use in pratice! Not theory :stuck_out_tongue:

I mastered converting 3D BAG (CityJson) to IFC using Citygml tools (GIS domain) and the German FZK viewer. It a workaround to avoid FME. Works for the timebeing.
