IfcOWL is now live at standards.buildingsmart.org

For those of you who are following the IfcOWL efforts and eagerly awaiting new developments, please note that the work is now being hosted here:

https://standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/DEV/

You can browse through the directory tree to find the different versions.

Please note that this location is “DEV” for “development”. This is to encourage review and testing prior to acceptance by the bSI Standards Committee. When that is complete, we will move the OWL specs and files to their respective RELEASE directory locations for posterity.

Please feel free to give us feedback via this topic on how the service is working for your IfcOWL-based development needs!

Great! Further note that you can load ontologies directly (e.g. in Protégé - open from URL) using the correct URIs:

These links are meant to replace the http://buildingsmart-tech.org/ links (e.g. http://www.buildingsmart-tech.org/ifcOWL/IFC4_ADD1).

@pipauwel great work, well done.

I think it would be better to link OWL to their references which all easily be able to read their documentation to have a clear understanding of each one

Hi Ehsan,

The standards.buildingsmart.org site is meant to be simple document server. I am working on the new technical.buildingsmart.org site to host the overall documentation for IfcOWL and other tech and standards.

Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you, much appreciate it
