Targeted at the general community within the InfraRoom and Railway Rooms. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a standalone update describing how we have reached the current status in the development of the IFC infrastructure extensions, leading to the establishment of a Candidate Standard and outline in greater detail the next steps required to deliver a Final Standard. This workshop will also serve to provide the context for the other three planned workshops.

The IFC Infrastructure Extension is currently a ‘Working Draft Standard’ undergoing a process of voting and is expected to be formally approved by bSI as a ‘Candidate Standard’ ahead of this event.
This Candidate Standard will incorporate proposed IFC extensions for Rail, Road, Ports & Waterways and Bridge, including earlier work on alignment and its associated geometry specifications needed for linear infrastructure.
