Generating IFC buildings from topological space analysis

I thought people would be interested to see some of the work happening in the OSArch community:

Bruno Postle, author of the Perl based IFC manipulation library has ported his topological analysis software Homemaker so that it can be run as a Blender Add-on. Here’s a fully open source and free software demonstration of generating buildings (styles applied are fully user configurable) from non-manifold space modeling.

The resulting building is a compliant IFC dataset with spatial structure, walls, windows, openings, spaces, and more. The BlenderBIM Add-on is used to import and visualise the section cut at the end of the video.
