This category is used for communication with the buildingSMART Model Suport Group (MSG) that is tasked with the maintenance of the IFC Standard, the final integration for all future releases of the IFC Standard and with the quality assurrence and guidance for IFC extension projects. Use this forum for:

  • general questions about IFC / ISO 16739
  • general questions about the release cycle, different forms of releases, etc.
  • language support for IFC release specifications
  • relationships of IFC with other standards and specifications
  • the IFC Schema, its structure, coverage, etc.
