I have an assembly consisting of a garbage disposal and a P‐trap. I would like to convert this assembly into a single element. Can I classify the entire assembly as an IfcElementAssembly of type ACCESSORY_ASSEMBLY?
Sure. Nothing prohibits that. I suppose you could also use “USERDEFINED” and set the ObjectType.Name to “GARBAGE_DISPOSAL”.
Thank you. Indeed, I had tried that, but since I used USERDEFINED, I guess Revit doesn’t allow me to set the ObjectType.Name. But I confess I’m not expert using Revit.
