Difference between Purpose, IntendedUse and Scope at IfcDocumentInformation

Hi all,

the documentation of IfcDocumentInformation has definitions for these attributes:

Purpose: Purpose for this document
IntendedUse: Intended use for this document
Scope: Scope for this document

What is the difference between these three attributes?

Nice find! If nobody chirps up with an explanation, I propose removing all those three fields in favour of having people put it in Description.

Also, IfcDocumentStatusEnum should probably have FINAL DRAFT removed because otherwise I would strongly propose adding FINAL FINAL DRAFT and FINAL FINAL FINAL DRAFT.

Bumping, as issue still relevant 2 years later. Happy second birthday

I guess “FINAL DRAFT” is inspired by the way ISO names the status of standards… (although it doesn’t contain the other statuses).

E.g., Working Draft, Committee Draft, Draft International Standard, Final Draft International Standard, Published etc…
