With a regular curtain wall, the glazing portion is classified as `IfcPlate` with `PredefinedType` set to `CURTAIN_PANEL`.

However, curtain panels are only used as `an exterior wall of a building which is an assembly of components, hung from the edge of the floor/roof structure rather than bearing on a floor`. ([source](https://standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC4/ADD2_TC1/HTML/schema/ifcsharedbldgelements/lexical/ifccurtainwall.htm))

There are other walls which have `IfcMember`s too such as shopfront walls or internal office partitioning with glazing. How should we properly classify the glazing portion in this scenraio?

Just answering this for closure, it’s still an `IfcPlate`. Key phrasing in docs are:

> NOTE Although **not necessarily** , plates are **often** add-on parts.
